May the Fourth Be With You — FAST Pep Rally Recap

Pine Crest held its first-ever FAST Pep Rally. The energy in Red Apple Dining was unmatched.
On Monday, May 4, Pine Crest ElementaryMagnet School of Innovation made history, hosting its first ever F.A.S.T. Pep Rally for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in Red Apple Dining. A celebration designed to fire up our Panthers for the weeks ahead and to relay the message "May the fourth be with you".
The atmosphere was electric. Our oldest Panthers came together cheering each other on and laughing with their teachers. If the volume in the room was any indication, there is no doubt that Pine Crest is ready. The event was our staff's way of saying': we see you, we believe in you, and we've got your back.
"The best prize is knowing you did your best."
Teachers across campus showed up on screen
Teachers and Staff members from every corner of Pine Crest recorded their own hype videos to be shown during the rally. The results were wonderful. From crayon-costumed Support teachers and a surprise mascot appearance for first grade, the whole campus rallied behind our students.

Are you smarter than a 5th grader? Science edition
One of the rally's biggest crowd moments was a live game of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? Science Edition, where 5th grade students went head-to-head with staff members on science questions covering everything from the asteroid belt to chemical energy to the human body. The twist: every time students answered correctly, a staff member had to complete a silly challenge: hula hooping in the gym, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "I'm a Litte Teapot'"and more. It was a perfect, laugh-filled reminder that our 5th graders have learned a lot this year.

A grand finale: Confident
